This survey provides an opportunity for all Australians to provide feedback on a draft Charter of Partnerships and Engagement that delivers on the Governments promise to develop a clear statement of what public-centred administration means under priority two of the APS Reform Agenda.
The Charter will support stronger relationships, collaboration, and joint decision-making between the Australian Public Service (APS), non-government sectors, and the public as part of the Government’s APS Reform Agenda to ensure the Government:
- makes a clear public commitment across the APS about what person-centred public administration means
- sets out the Government’s commitment to partner and engage with the public in policy-making and service delivery
- instils public trust and transparency in Government institutions and processes and embeds integrity in public service culture and behaviour
- considers, builds and iterates based on current and future whole-of-government frameworks for partnership and engagement, as well as international best practice, and
- resonates with the APS at all levels in all agencies, with all sectors that partner and/or engage Government, and with members of the public.
